By default, Cahook sends emails when your monitors are up/down. You can also receive them via other channels like Slack, Discord, etc.
To add a channel to your account, please visit the Notification tab. Currently, Cahook supports these channels:
You can follow the instructions to create a Slack app and an incoming webhook.
Once you have an incoming webhook URL, visit the Notification tab, click Add Channel > Slack, paste the URL into Webhook URL, then Save.
Open your Discord Server Settings, click the Integrations tab, then click the Create Webhook button. You'll get an incoming webhook URL that allows Cahook to send messages to your channel.
Once you have an incoming webhook URL, you visit the Notification tab, click Add Channel > Discord, paste the URL into Webhook URL, then Save.
Direct messages: If you want notifications sent to yourself directly, start a conversation with CahookBot.
Groups: If you want notifications sent to a group, start by inviting CahookBot to the group. The bot will get added as a member with no access to group messages.
Channels: If you want notifications sent to a Telegram channel, add CahookBot to the channel's Administrators. Enable the Post Messages admin right, and disable all other admin rights.
Cahook needs a chat ID to send the message. Start by sending /start message to Cahook.
CahookBot will send a Chat ID so you can add it to your channel.
Please note that the Chat ID for group/channel has a minus sign e.g. -1001234567.
Once you have a Chat ID, visit the Notification tab, click Add Channel > Telegram, paste the Chat ID, then Save.
Please log in to your Pushover account and copy your user key.
Once you have the user key, visit the Notification tab, click Add Channel > Pushover, paste the user key, then Save.
Please visit the Notification tab, click Add Channel > Webhook, paste the webhook URL, then Save.
When your monitors are down and up, Cahook will send a POST request to your webhook URL.
